David Lewis

David Lewis is an active member of the Odenton (MD) Volunteer Fire Company, previously serving as assistant chief and as president. He is active as an instructor for the National Volunteer Fire Council, the National Fire Academy and the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, delivering training programs and conference presentations across the U.S. David currently serves on the Maryland State Firemen’s Association's Joint Mental Wellness Taskforce, leading the role as advocate and trainer for first responder awareness. His program "It's Okay to Say I'm Not Okay" serves as a reminder of the mental stresses that first responders incur and what measures are needed to build resiliency.
